Path: /projects
Four projects that show how I work: large-scale commerce systems, product invention, and AI workflow architecture — both inside the user loop and outside it.
Elastic / PlumRiver B2B Ordering Platform
I helped build the core software platform behind a wholesale commerce business later acquired by Emerald Holding Inc. for roughly $34M. The platform handled complex ERP integrations, real-time inventory, client-specific workflows, and large transaction volume across major global brands — Patagonia, The North Face, Crocs, Oakley, Burton, Puma.
Elastic Whiteboard / Merchandising System
I built a visual merchandising and presentation system that pushed the product beyond standard B2B ordering software. It let brands create rich, shoppable presentations and digital catalog experiences that matched how their teams actually sold.
ShowLabs Copilot & Harness Engineering
I led product development on a DAM/PLM-style platform and built a surface-aware multi-agent copilot on top of custom harness infrastructure. The harness layer — not the model — is what makes the product usable in a real workflow: long-conversation memory via compaction, tool-driven actions across product surfaces, quality-gated output pipelines, and a treatment approach that holds visual consistency where one-shot generation falls apart.
ShowLabs Brand Discovery Pipeline
A separate autonomous AI workflow tied to Shyft's retailer-bridge strategy. When users upload product data for unrecognized brands, the system triggers deep public-web research, identifies the brand from UPCs and SKUs, and feeds structured taxonomy data back into the product. This is agentic AI doing work outside the user loop — parallel workers, Gemini extraction with validation and repair loops, canonical normalization, and a persistence layer tied directly to the brand-retailer network.
SMALLER
CALLOUTS
Discrete engineering wins that got lost inside the larger case studies but matter on their own.
Payment Portal
Built the online payment portal architecture at Elastic that automated invoice processing and integrated directly with ERP settlement. The Simms case study credits the system with reducing accounts receivable staffing requirements by approximately 25% — a clean, auditable engineering outcome separable from the broader platform story.
Dojo → React Migration
Led the migration of the Elastic frontend from Dojo to React inside a live commerce codebase handling real orders, without taking the platform offline and without freezing feature work. New surfaces went in on React while legacy flows were displaced progressively.
ERP / EDI Integration
The backbone of Elastic's two-way integration story. Built ETL pipelines ingesting heterogeneous client ERP data on one side and pushing orders back out through EDI 850 and similar enterprise formats on the other. This is the integration layer that made real-time ATS, multi-ship-date inventory, and cross-border commerce possible.
