ABOUT
THE PRACTICE

I'm a product-minded software engineer who gets things done. I work directly with clients on product engineering, AI workflow design, and harness engineering. The point is senior judgment, fast execution, and building the right system.

PRODUCT-MINDED
ENGINEERING

I'm not especially interested in technical posturing, enterprise theater, or building systems for imaginary scale. I'm interested in understanding the product, understanding the market, and finding the technical approach that creates the most leverage.

Most of my work has lived at the intersection of technical complexity and commercial usefulness. At Elastic, that meant wholesale ordering, ERP integrations, real-time inventory, merchandising workflows, and digital tools used by major brands and retailers. At ShowLabs, it meant building a DAM/PLM platform, designing AI-assisted product workflows, and doing the harness engineering required to make agentic systems behave inside a real application.

I now offer that work through my own practice: direct senior help for companies that need real product movement, not just implementation capacity.

PRINCIPLE_01

I get things done.

PRINCIPLE_02

I care about product leverage more than technical theater.

PRINCIPLE_03

I move quickly, but not blindly.

PRINCIPLE_04

I look for the solution that makes the product stronger, not just the implementation that is easiest to ship.

PRINCIPLE_05

I am comfortable in ambiguity, especially in early-stage and transitional environments.

WHY THIS
POSITIONING
IS CREDIBLE

CRED_01

Elastic / PlumRiver

I spent more than a decade helping build Elastic Suite / PlumRiver, where I worked on the core platform behind a company that was acquired for roughly $34M by Emerald Holding Inc. in 2021. That work spanned wholesale ordering, ERP integrations, real-time inventory, merchandising workflows, and product systems used by major brands including Patagonia, The North Face, Crocs, Oakley, Burton, and Puma.

CRED_02

ShowLabs

More recently, I led product development at ShowLabs, where I rebuilt most of the platform and focused heavily on AI systems, harness engineering, workflow design, and product strategy inside a DAM/PLM-style product.

CRED_03

Why It Matters Now

That background is why the current AI positioning is credible. I am not coming at AI from the outside. I am applying it inside the kinds of product and workflow systems I have spent years building.

CONVERSATION

I'm currently available for short-term remote contract work through my own practice, especially with companies that want practical AI, LLM, or agentic workflows added to existing software products. If you're working on something in that territory, especially where product judgment matters as much as implementation, email me.
